This calendar is searchable in different ways ::
1. Region, there are 4 choices ::
Local Salem/Keizer Area - events that are
within a 30 minute drive from Salem/Keizer.
Within 1 hour of Salem/Keizer area.
Oregon and SW Washington, 1 hour plus away.
All - every region, near and far.
Note - the "Search Selected Region and
Closer?" button, when "Yes" is selected displays all
races within the selection you made, and
closer. (Currently the "No" selection does not work)
2. Year, choices ::
Current year (current month to December).
Current year (January to December).
2008, 2007 etc for old events not listed in the
current year's calendar.
All - all years (useful for finding events not
yet scheduled for current year)
3. Distance(s) ::
Check the race distance or type that you are looking for. "All" returns all race
distances. Checking
more than one distance will return races for all of the distances checked.
4. Keyword Search ::
Enter the text you are searching for either in
Event Name, Location or Description.
5. After making a selection in either of the above categories press the FILTER button
to return results.
The Clear Filters clears all selections you have made.
6. When the calendar is first retrieved it defaults to ALL races in ALL regions from the current month forward.
7. If you can't find the race you're looking for it may have not been scheduled yet, in
this case the previous
year's event will still be listed - change the Year to "All" to include earlier
events in your search.

Note - this calendar is a collaboration between Gallagher Fitness Resources and the Willamette Valley
Road Runners. The database was designed by Dan Kaplan of Abledesign.com and resides on GFR's
server,
event information is gathered by members of WVRR and the GFR staff, which allows us to
list more races.
The selection criteria for races appearing on this calendar are ::
1. All public running events in Oregon
& SW Washington (281 as of Nov 2005)
2. Most major and West Coast Marathons
(90 as of Nov 2005)
3. Most West Coast Relays
(38 as of Nov 2005)
4. Most West Coast Ultras
(120 as of Nov 2005)
5. In general, any running event that would be
of interest to our core group - the mid Willamette Valley runners.
