Course Description: This challenging course covers 30 kilometers (18.6 miles), from Ferry Road Park: in North Bend through Coos Bay and Eastside to the COGS River Highway. After crossing the Chandler Bridge, the course turns onto East Bay Road and winds around scenic Coos Bay. The rolling loop course returns south on Hwy 101, crosses the McCullough Bridge and turns left on Ferry Road to the finish in Ferry Road Park. Aid stations with water and All Sport are located at about 3,6,9,12 and 15 miles. Individuals must pre-register July 20 to avoid late fees.

Relay information: Three person teams in one of 15 team categories travel the 30k course described above with each member of the team running or walking approximately 10k. Team categories include Grandmasters(all members over 50),Masters(all members over 40),Youth(all members under 18), Open(all other combinations),and Walkers(all ages) for all men, all women, and mixed. There are two exchange zones in the race where the relay baton must be passed from one team member to another. Each team member may only do one leg of the race. Teams must complete the race with the baton or they will be disqualified. Course maps and other details will be in race day packets. The first leg is relatively flat, the second is moderately rolling, the third is for your hill lover! Relay teams must pre-register by July 20 to avoid late fees. All team members must send their applications together. A registered 30 km individual entrant may also take the First leg on a relay team (for no extra charge—but they will receive only 1 long sleeve shirt). One car or van per team please. No RV's allowed on the course.

Divisions for 30k (both men and women): 14 and under, l5-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54. 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Walkers.

Walkers and Walk Relay Teams: Starting time for registered walkers and teams is 6:30 a.m. Please pick up your packet or register by 6:15 at the park. Walkers need to carry their own water.

Runners and Run Relay Teams: 30k individuals and team runner #1 start at 8:00 a.m. Day of race registration and packet pick up are from 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at the start. Registration closes at 7:30 a.m. Come dressed to run; no space is provided for dressing. There are toilets at the start/finish area. Runners should assemble at the starting line no later than 10 minutes before the race starts.

Amenities: All 30k finishers receive a long-sleeve shirt and a medal Relay team members receive a short sleeve shirt. All entrants are invited to enjoy our well-known post-race food and beverages.

Awards: All individual participants and team captains will receive mailed race results. The awards ceremony will begin at about 11:30 a.m. in Ferry Road Park. The top male and female 30k finishers, both open and masters (40+) and the members of (he fastest relay team will receive plaques. Awards will be presented to the top eight finishers in each age group and each walk division, and the top five in each team category.

Miscellaneous; The course is open to traffic so be extremely cautious. This event is RRCA sanctioned and for your safety no bicycles, skateboards, roller-blades. baby joggers, dogs, or headphones are allowed during the run.
