SALEM'S MOST FESTIVE WALKING & RUNNING EVENT! Join hundreds of other walkers and
runners for the Second Annual Festival of Lights Frolic. The route follows the Portland
General Electric ENTRY FEE: $5.00 per person. Event proceeds will be donated to Portland General Electric Festival of Lights Holiday Parade to assist with scholarship activities and parade development. This is a non-competitive event. There will be no age group awards. All finishers will receive a finisher’s momento, free refreshments, and a special holiday goodie bag! REGISTRATION -- ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST PRE-REGISTER! You may register by mail or in person
at: Mail-in registrations must be received on or before December 7th. In-store registration ends FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8th. Event is limited to 500 participants. DAY-OF-EVENT REGISTRATION: AT GOLD’S GYM ONLY from 4:45 to 5:45PM. PARKING: Park in one of downtown Salem’s free parkades. Street parking is unavailable along parade route. Special Cherriots bus schedule will be in place. Check for more details.THE ROUTE (2 Kilometers - 1.25 miles): The course begins and ends at Gold’s Gym, 155 Liberty St. NE and follows the Portland General Electric Festival of Lights Holiday Parade route. Gold's Gym will offer a warm, dry building at the finish line where you can change into your parade watching attire!COLD WEATHER ALERT: Be prepared for cold weather and/or rain or snow. Wear appropriate clothing and pace yourself accordingly.IMPORTANT: Please be courteous to the parade participants and spectators. Please do not go back along the parade route to join your friends or family. Please help us have a safe event. Wearing headphones is officially discouraged. Bicycles, dogs, skateboards, in-line and roller skates are prohibited.
