Directions to Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Stadium: From the North: I-5 to exit 260, follow signs to the stadium. You will enter the stadium from Radiant Drive off Chemawa Rd. From the South: I-5 to exit 2608, and follow signs to the stadium.

NEW IMPROVED COURSE THIS YEAR! The start and finish for both the 5k and 10 mile will be the main parking lot of the SALEM-KEIZER VOLCANOES STADIUM. Both courses are primarily flat, with a few "bumps" along the way. Designed to be one of the most scenic courses in Oregon, runners and walkers will pass by acres and acres of blooming iris fields. All finishers will be treated to the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Washington Mutual Iris Days held in the Volcanoes parking lot.

Mail-in Registration: Mail your completed registration form along with your check or money order payable to: Salem Electric Iris Run 233 Commercial St. NE Salem, OR 97301. Must-be received by Thurs May 18, 2000.

IRIS DAYS REGISTRATION (MAY 19-21): Registration Continues 3-9PM Fri, May 19th; and 11AM-9PM Sat, May 20th exclusively at the NIKE/GALLAGHER FITNESS RESOURCES BOOTH at Iris Days in the Volcanoes Stadium parking lot. Purchase over $75.00 in Nike shoes or apparel at our booth and receive a rebate on your entry fee!

Day of Race Registration: Sun, May 2ist 7AM - 8:15AM in the Volcanoes Stadium Parking Lot. PLEASE NOTE: There is a $2 per vehicle parking fee at the stadium. Please carpool!

Race Updates and Results: Pre-Race Updates and Post-Race Results and photos will appear on the Willamette Valley Striders Web Page at www.wvstriders.org. Results and race photos will also be posted at Gallagher Fitness Resources on Monday, May 22nd.

5k Run/Walk: Certificates will be presented to the first three finishers in the age divisions listed below. NOTE: There will not be separate awards for runners and walkers in this event. 10 Mile Overall Awards Men's & Women's Overall 10 Mile Winners AND Men's & Women's Masters 10 Mile Winners will each receive an $85.00 certificate good for Nike shoes or clothing items. In addition to overall winners, Certificates and Nike Merchandise will be awarded three deep in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over. Prizes not picked up at the awards ceremony must be picked up from Gallagher Fitness Resources by June 10, 2000. Awards unclaimed after that day will be forfeited. NOTE: Prizes will not be mailed to winners

The Keizer Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the 2000 Keizer Iris Festival. Since 1979, a running/walking event has been a traditional part of the Keizer Iris Festival. The first "Keizer Days Run for Life" was sponsored in part by the Keizer merchants and a young company called Nike Blue Ribbon Sports. This year, Nike returns to Keizer, teaming up with Gallagher Fitness Resources and title sponsor, Salem Electric, for the Iris Run's coming of age in 2000!

Limited Edition Shirts: Participants may purchase a NIKE Dri-Fit Short Sleeve Shirt for $24. Featuring the moisture management technology that other companies are trying to emulate, these Dri-Fit shirts normally sell in stores for $29 or more. This white shirt features an embroidered Nike swoosh and the Salem Electric Iris Run Logo seen on the cover of this brochure in a vibrant five-color design. The Annual Keizer Iris Festival is changing a few of its major attractions in 2000. This year we introduce a new course and a new logo for the Salem Electric Iris Run. Iris Run participants in the 10 mile and 5K will pass by acres and acres of iris fields in full bloom. Runners and walkers will stride alongside the world famous Schreiner's Iris Display Gardens. Also, we've placed the start and finish of the Salem Electric Iris Run right in the middle of the action at the Washington Mutual Iris Days at the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Stadium just off Interstate 5 at the Keizer exit. Check out some of the shows, exhibits, and special attractions in Keizer Thursday through Sunday May 18 - 21:
